While Week 8 meant the debut of two "Rivalries" jerseys, another alternate look returns to the field in Week 9, and a popular throwback comes back.
The Los Angeles Chargers are wearing their "Super Chargers" all-navy threads against the Houston Texans. Unveiled in 2025, the Chargers deemed the navy uniforms "a true modern throwback." It's a nod to threads worn in the 1990s and early 2000s, which coincided with a Super Bowl XXIX appearance and four AFC West titles. The navy jersey includes white modern numbers with an old-school outline and gold trim. The navy pants boast a bolt on the side, while a bolt also runs on the shoulders and helmet. "Super Chargers" is stitched in white on the neckline.
In a trend that's becoming more common around the league, the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles offer a matchup of throwback uniforms. The Eagles are rocking their "Kelly Green" threads, while it's a "Vintage White" look for the Giants. "Thursday Night Football" between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks in Week 6 also brought a throwback threads matchup. Philadelphia brought back the iconic Kelly Green combination in 2023, while New York's look returned in 2025 after a one-year hiatus.
Alternates are still represented well throughout the week, though.
The Baltimore Ravens are wearing their "Purple Rising" combination on "Thursday Night Football" against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Baltimore unveiled the look in the offseason as part of their wardrobe overhaul. It includes a new "Purple Rising" helmet, first introduced in 2024 with the alternate purple jersey. The primary logo appears on the metallic purple lid instead of the front-facing Ravens one. Different from the previous all-purple combination is a new "midnight purple" color, which is meant to emulate the iridescence of a raven's feather, and "Purple Rising" running on the inside collar.
The New Orleans Saints are going gold against the Cleveland Browns. And it's another navy look for the Dallas Cowboys against the Indianapolis Colts, who are doing a rare home white out.
