LONDON -- Derek Chisora warned Deontay Wilder that he is going to start their heavyweight bout so fast it "won't last 12 rounds."
The pair will face off in London on Saturday in what will be professional fight No. 50 for both.
Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) has said it will be his last before he retires, while Wilder is targeting a push for title fights.
But with 66 knockouts between them, the consensus is that one man will end the fight on the canvas, and Chisora told Thursday's news conference that he is planning to be relentless from the start on what he says will be an emotional night.
"He has great power, but I am starting so fast that this fight won't last 12 rounds," Chisora said.
"I know what energy I need. I need that crazy energy. I need war and pain. I'm going to hit this man everywhere. I just pray no one comes with excuses."
Chisora has taken a lighthearted approach to fight week, passing up the chance to work out for the media Wednesday to instead take questions from fans and play musical chairs to give people the chance to win tickets.
Meanwhile, Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) has been relaxed but more serious, insisting he is back to his best and ready to prove just that at the O2 Arena.
"Derek, he's going to fight. In that ring it will be a fight, and it's going to end with an explosion. I don't want you guys to mistake us, our friendship -- it's going to be live, it's going to be real," Wilder said.
"I hope he brings his heart because I'm going to take that, too. Derek needs to be perfect for 12 rounds; I just need to be perfect for two seconds."
The American added as he faced off with his rival: "Bring your heart, because I'm going to take it.
"Bring all the pressure you can. I want that, I need that."
