Dream guard Allisha Gray (finger) questionable for Game 3

Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray is listed as questionable with a finger injury ahead of Friday's semifinals Game 3 in New York, the team said on Thursday.

Gray, the Dream's top-scorer, missed Game 2 on Wednesday after suffering the injury in Game 1, where she played only 11 minutes.

Atlanta is up 2-0 on the Liberty in the best-of-five series after a 101-98 overtime win in Game 2. No team has ever come back to win after going down 2-0 in WNBA playoff history.

Gray, a 6-foot guard and four-time All-Star out of South Carolina, averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals per game this year while appearing in all 44 regular season contests. She was also the Dream's top scorer (22.0 PPG) during their first-round sweep of the No. 5 seed Washington Mystics as Atlanta secured its first semifinals berth since 2018.

Gray exited Sunday's 92-82 Game 1 win at the end of the first quarter because of a left, shooting hand injury before returning in the second and then reinjuring it. She was on the bench with the team on Wednesday with a brace on her hand for the Game 2 win over New York.

"Nobody's going to try to be Lish because, I mean, there's only one Lish," Atlanta coach Karl Smesko said on Tuesday. "Lish is one of the best players in the league. She's an exceptional scorer and she's an excellent defender. So being without her for a game is tough, but we have players that are ready to step up."

The Dream finished with six players in double figures in Game 2, led by 23 apiece from Jordin Canada and Angel Reese. Though Atlanta's depth hasn't been its strong suit this season, Isobel Borlase also came through with 11 points off the bench.

Atlanta is one win away from advancing to its first WNBA Finals since 2013.
