The Wallabies have made yet another change at fullback, recalling Reece Hodge to the starting side to face the Springboks at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Hodge shift back to the No. 15 jersey in one of six changes to the starting side that was humbled 48-17 by the Pumas in San Juan, with Wallabies coach Dave Rennie able to call on key personnel who have recovered from injury, concussion or personal leave.
It will be a second start at fullback for the long-time Wallabies utility this season, after Hodge filled the role in the third Test defeat by England in Sydney. As a result, Tom Wright moves to the right wing with Jordan Petaia dropping out of the matchday 23 altogether.
The other changes in the backline come at fly-half and inside centre respectively, with Noah Lolesio and Hunter Paisami replacing James O'Connor and Lalakai Foketi.
Meanwhile up front, Folau Fainga'a and Allan Alaalatoa return after missing the heavy loss to the Pumas, the duo starting in the front-row alongside skipper James Slipper.
There is a recall for Matt Philip at lock, the Rebels second-rower partnering Rory Arnold.
"It's great to have a number of experienced players back in the mix this weekend," Rennie said via media release.
"We understand that respect is earned daily and we get an opportunity to earn it against the current world champions on Saturday afternoon.
"It's really motivating to be back at home in front of our supporters, especially in Adelaide, a place we haven't played at in 18 years."
Rennie has opted for a 6-2 split on the bench to counter the Springboks "bomb squad" which is headed by powerhouse hooker Malcolm Marx.
The Springboks have been in Adelaide since the weekend, flying in from South Africa where they split their opening Rugby Championship Tests one apiece with the All Blacks.
