Kafer makes three changes for Cup game

Saracens' Head Coach Rod Kafer makes just three changes for his sides Powergen Cup 6th Round trip to Penzance.

In the back line he gives fly half Andy Goode a rest, bringing in Fijian World Cup returnee Nicky Little while in the forwards Andy Kershsaw switches with Emiliano Bergamaschi in the front row and Ben Skirving with Simon Raiwalui with the captaincy going to No. 8 Taine Randell.

On the bench Stuart Philpott comes in for Joe Ross and Daniel Legge makes his first appearance on the team sheet after over coming his pre-season injury.

Finally Denis Cech, who signed a month long contract at the beginning of the week, gets his second chance to start as a replacement where he hopes to be given a chance to impress his new boss.

Saracens hosts on Sunday, Penzance & Newlyn, are expected to name former Saracen Rob Thirlby as the all Cornish head to head with Adryan Winnan at full back is set to kick off. They will also be fired up for this encounter in front of bumper West Country side.

"As I said earlier in the week. we're not taking this game lightly," explained Kafer, "and you can see by the team we have announced that we are expecting a tough game down there.

We've given Andy (Goode) the chance to recover from his facial injuries this weekend as he has several stitches in his mouth following the collission last Sunday.

We have moved Simon (Raiwalui) to the bench as he had a slight niggle in training yesterday, nothing serious but thought it was a good opportunity to see how Ben (Skriving) got on. With Simon on the bench Taine (Randell) takes over the captaincy so I have no worries there as one international captain replaces another.

"We will be showing Penzance the respect they deserve and are looking forward to playing some rugby down in that part of the country in front of a big crowd. Last weekend, despite the result, I thought that we again showed signs of moving in the right direction and on Sunday the players know that they have to continue the momentum. We will use the game to try a few things but obviously our main focus is a place in the next round."
