Gloucester's Robert Todd has been banned for 21 days after being found guilty of committing a dangerous tackle during the Zurich Premiership match against Saracens on February 2.
Todd, who attended the RFU disciplinary hearing at High Wycombe Holiday Inn alongside director of rugby Nigel Melville, has been suspended for 21 days from February 26. He will be available to play again on March 19.
Gloucester have the right to appeal.
Saracens' Tim Horan also attended the hearing alongside coach Tim Wright after being cited for punching during the same game.
Horan was found guilty of the offence, but no further action has been taken against the former Australian international. Horan will be available to play against Bath this weekend in the Zurich Premiership.
Ace Tiatia of Harlequins was also due to appear before the panel on Tuesday evening after being cited for playing an opponent without the ball at Newcastle Falcons on February 1. The case was, however, postponed until Wednesday February 26, 3.30pm at Portsmouth Holiday Inn.
The disciplinary panel comprised of Bob Taylor (East Midlands) and Buster White (ex-player). Richard Moon (Cambs) chaired the hearing.
