Haas will run a new rear wing at the Spanish Grand Prix, where it will also move on to Ferrari's upgraded power unit.
The debutant American outfit returned to the points in Russia, where it successfully introduced a new front wing. Though it opted against taking the upgraded Ferrari power unit in Sochi it will do so for the Barcelona race, meaning new engines for drivers Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez, to go alongside its aero update.
"We have got a new rear wing for Spain," team boss Guenther Steiner said. "We keep on bringing things, we just have to be sure that they work. You never can be sure until you've tried them, but as sure as you can be."
When asked if the rear wing was being introduced to compliment the front wing brought to Russia, Steiner replied: "No, it's a little bit more downforce. For Spain we need a little bit more rear downforce so that's what it is, it's for Spain and Monte Carlo. It's just to adapt to the track layouts which are coming in the near future."
Both drivers had given positive feedback about the front wing in Sochi and the new part will remain on the car in Spain, where the team returns after eight days of winter testing earlier this year. Steiner thinks Haas will benefit from the comparison.
"For us it's quite a good thing. We can go to Spain and look at the data we had from the test and compare it and see if we've gone wrong somewhere.
"We are still in the ballpark because the far felt good but it's the first track we have been on that we have data so it's always nice to go back and compare what we had before there."
