Manor driver Will Stevens says talks with the team about retaining his seat for 2016 are "looking positive".
Stevens signed for Manor at the start of this season after its shock return from administration, having made his debut for Caterham at last year's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Unlike team-mate Roberto Merhi, who was dropped in favour of Alexander Rossi for five of the last seven races, Stevens' deal covers the entire 2015 season.
Manor, which has used a modified 2014 chassis and last year's Ferrari power unit, is yet to confirm its line-up or engine supplier for next season but Stevens hopes to be part of its plans again.
Asked about his and the team's future, Stevens replied: "As a team the next few years are going to be pretty exciting. This year was always going to be tough, using last year's car with the old Ferrari power unit. But looking ahead to next year, for me personally we're working hard in the background to sort out things for next year which are looking positive. Hopefully we can have some things to say soon."
Stevens was beaten by new team-mate Rossi on the American driver's debut in Singapore and he admits it is an experience he will use to improve.
"The year so far has gone pretty well for me. Singapore wasn't one of my easiest weekends of the year but you need weekends like that to learn and improve from."
