Daniel Ricciardo is the latest driver to vent his frustration at the rule banning helmet changes.
The controversial rule was introduced at the start of the year, aimed at clamping down on drivers making multiple design changes between race weekends. Sebastian Vettel, who was known for making frequent changes under the old system, sometimes on a session-by-session basis, memorably called the rule change "a joke".
This weekend's Monaco Grand Prix was traditionally a venue for drivers to sport a one-off design. Ricciardo took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal he has had a special helmet designed for him ahead of this year's edition but will be unable to wear it due to the ruling.
So JMD have painted me this helmet for the race and I really wanna wear it!! Not a fan of this 1 helmet design rule 😢 pic.twitter.com/A4cljE6e7y

It is a similar tweet to Lewis Hamilton's ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix when he was unable to wear a Petronas-designed helmet for Mercedes' title sponsor's home race.
