7:01pm That will be all from us for this game. The second of today's matches is not far away and you can catch all the action here. Until next time, from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo, it is goodbye!

Shamyl Hossain, Player of the Match: (On becoming the first Pakistan batter to score successive PSL fifties in his first two matches) It does feel good, did not think of it, trying to play the ball on its merit and to do well for the team. We cannot pre-plan. When we lost wickets, we (Hassan Nawaz and me) were talking about lengthening our innings and picking our bowlers. We needed Hassan there - he is such a great batter. We have played a lot of cricket together in Islamabad, enjoyed being out there.

Saud Shakeel, Quetta Gladiators captain: (On the score) The pitch was on the dry side, this score (175-180) was what this pitch needed. The way Hassan and Shamyl batted, that maturity was required. The way Curran finished, it gave us momentum and we took it into our bowling. We were thinking if we could get 2-3 wickets in the powerplay, this (score) would be difficult to chase. (On the salute) It was for Daniyal. The way Daniyal has bowled today (sticking to his line and length), it is very rare to see.

Marnus Labuschagne, Hyderabad Kingsmen captain: (Alarming factors to work on) Both games, we have lost 2-3 wickets in the powerplay and that stems the flow of runs. They (Ayub and Maaz) are great players and we know they will come good. The back-end (also needs improving). Through the middle, we have been good. Theekshana was really good (today and brought us back). Last two overs went for 28, so just working out our options and getting them right. But the only way is up. (On the fielding) Myself, dropped a sitter. We are training really well and the results will come off the back of that.

6:08pm A really accomplished bowling display by the Gladiators. And a discerningly toothless batting effort from the Kingsmen. Ayub mustered two boundaries in the opening over but their joy was short-lived, with Joseph bursting through his defence soon after. The Kingsmen then retreated into a shell and only threatened when Hassan and Niazi had come together. That, though, also proved to be a consolation in the end.

The Gladiators will be happy with how they bowled. Joseph was expensive but also incisive. Abrar and Tariq were difficult to get away, with Daniyal also quite impressive. They stuck to their plans too and if they can keep bowling this way, they could be a tough nut to crack for most teams.

Shadow-Shell: "Well atleast they passed 130. Small improvements"

Joseph to Meredith, no run, that will be that! A comfortable win for the Gladiators! Banged in short on leg. Tucks up the batter and Meredith can only fend it into his body. A dot to end the game and that sort of sums up how this afternoon has gone for the Kingsmen!
