Rohit Sharma: "This is the kind of performance we have been talking about and this is the character of Mumbai Indians. The bowlers took the responsibility. With the bat, we could have done a bit more. But full credit to the bowlers. When the pressure rises, we want our seniors to take the responsibility."

Lasith Malinga is the Man of the Match. He says, "It came out nicely today. I got my rhythm. We have a good partnership in fast bowling (with McClenaghan). It was a good batting track, but this wicket was good if someone had variations."

Lendl Simmons gets an award for hitting the most sixes. Naman Ojha wins some cash for his fantastic take behind the stumps.

Mumbai Indians have given themselves some breathing space with this much-needed win. They now have two wins out of seven. This was a fantastic bowling performance, one they had been waiting on for the past few days. David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan were swift at the start but once both were removed, Sunrisers did not have anyone else to take the mantle of scoring. It was one of the weaknesses that had been highlighted - their over-dependence on the top-order.

Steve: "Time to look beyond Malinga, cricinfo? " --- Malinga has answered that question in an emphatic fashion, hasn't he? He was looking a bit jaded in the first few games, and with only four overseas spots, his automatic selection could have been brought up in a debate. Not for a few games now. With Mitch McClenaghan around, Mumbai seems to have found a bowling pair that can lead them ahead in the tournament. The task, though, still remains difficult and the question marks on their batting remain.

mrbean: "I am not so sure it is a fantastic bowling performance. it is more an indication of the quality of the batting..Too much dependent on the openers and middle order is probably the worst among all the teams."
