6:11pm A frenetic finish to a contest that was otherwise a bit of a slow-burn. SL A had it when their skipper, who had already mustered a half century, was out there. But he was dismissed by Kamboj and then three wickets fell in the 49th, which sealed the hosts' fate.

India A deserve credit for hanging in and for pouncing when the opportunities came their way, and they will be thrilled with how they have managed to salvage a contest that had, at times, threatened to sip away. They will also be pleased with their spinners, who combined for six wickets. Arshad and Kamboj then chipped away at the death to ensure India A got on the board today.
