Around and around the Premier League we go. Even though January is a long way off, some serious rumours out of England are starting to flame up to help us warm the hearth of the winter transfer window.
Which way for Isco?
Two of the Prem's top squads are reportedly interested in Real Madrid midfielder Isco. Both Arsenal and Liverpool are looking to lure Isco away from the Bernabeu during the January transfer window.
The Metro says Arsenal and Liverpool are both preparing bids to snag the Spaniard, who just moved from Malaga to Real in the summer of 2013 for 24 million pounds. Isco says he's content with Los Blancos -- with whom he is under contract until 2018 -- but the offseason arrival of Toni Kroos has made the 22-year-old expendable.
Isco scored 11 goals for Real last season and would be a welcome addition at either of the rumoured clubs, both of whom have looked lost at times thus far in the middle of the park.
Hunt-ing for Klaas
Reports first surfaced during the World Cup and again in the final days of the summer transfer season that Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was bound for the Premier League from current club Schalke. Those days came and went, but perhaps Huntelaar's classy goal against Chelsea in their recent Champions League match has rekindled interest from England.
Huntelaar is in the final year of his contract with Schalke and renewal talks have gone nowhere. Now there's a line forming to secure the former Real Madrid and AC Milan star, according to The Express. Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all made inquiries as to the Dutchman's availability this January.
Of the Premier League, Huntelaar said, "It's a nice league, and you never know what could happen. My mind is on Schalke right now though."
One-twos
• The Mirror reports that Chelsea and Liverpool are both keen to bring Bayer Leverkusen youngster Julian Brandt into the fold. The 18-year-old is a darling of the Bundesliga and both Brendan Rodgers and Jose Mourinho have sent scouts already this season to check in on the German-born midfielder.
- We talked about Arsenal's desperate need for help on defence yesterday and their interest in Joseph Yobo and Diego Lugano. Now The Daily Star is saying French midfielder Lassana Diarra, who is a free agent after leaving Lokomotiv Moscow, may be on Arsene Wenger's radar.
