Gian van Veen broke the European Tour average record on home soil at the Dutch Darts Championship.
The 24-year-old averaged a remarkable 120.24 in a 6-0 victory over Sebastian Bialecki in the second round in Maastricht, surpassing the previous best of 118.66 from Dave Chisnall.
Van Veen said on pdc.tv: "I knew I was playing well, I wanted to hit that bullseye in that last leg.
"The average is nice, it's fantastic to have that record, but it's another win and that's what matters."
There was disappointment for the other big home favourite, though, with Michael van Gerwen losing 6-5 to William O'Connor.
Stephen Bunting and Martin Schindler both booked their spots at the European Championships later this month.
German Schindler saw off Karel Sedlacek 6-4 while Bunting defeated Cameron Menzies 6-2.
"There are a lot of demons in my head, people doubt me but I know how good I can be," Bunting said.
"For the last few weeks I have been nervous, needing to win is a lot more difficult than already being in the tournament, but thankfully I won tonight."

Nathan Aspinall ended Michael Smith's hopes of qualifying for Dortmund, racing to a 6-1 victory, while Brendan Dolan kept his hopes alive with a 6-4 win over Heine Uuldriks.
There were wins for Dutch duo Wessel Nijman and Danny Noppert, who saw off Jeffrey De Graaf and Chisnall, respectively, and Niels Zonneveld survived a last-leg decider against Krzysztof Ratajski.
Damon Heta impressed in beating Jonny Clayton 6-1, while Gerwyn Price was a 6-3 winner against Scott Williams.
The final victory of the evening went to Spain's Cristo Reyes, who averaged more than 110 in a 6-2 win over Chris Dobey.
The remaining 16 players will do battle for the trophy on Sunday, with van Veen facing Dolan and Bunting taking on Aspinall.
