CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- Jordan Hairston had 23 points as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi defeated Lamar 64-58 on Saturday.

Myles Smith had 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (7-12, 3-5 Southland Conference). Tony Lewis added nine rebounds.

Jashawn Talton-Thomas, who was second on the Islanders in scoring coming into the contest with 11 points per game, shot only 17 percent for the game (1 of 6).
