CANCUN, Mexico -- Tyler Hall scored 34 points and Montana State beat Southeast Missouri State 88-82 on Wednesday in a Cancun Challenge championship game.
Hall was 11 of 19 from the floor and made eight 3-pointers. Isaac Bonton added 12 points for Montana State (4-2), which won the tournament's Mayan Division.
Denzel Mahoney scored 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting to lead Southeast Missouri State (2-3). Daniel Simmons and Jonathan Dalton added 12 points apiece.
The Redhawks had their last lead, 60-59, with nine minutes left. The Bobcats used a 17-6 surge and led 76-66. Bonton scored four points and Hall made a 3-pointer during the stretch.
