Horn's late 3 lifts Siena to 65-62 upset of Canisius
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Jordan Horn hit a deep 3-pointer with 5.4 seconds on the clock and an answering trey by Jermaine Crumpton rattled in and out at the horn as Siena upended Canisius 65-62 on Sunday, handing the Golden Griffins their first conference loss.
Horn scored 12 points for the Saints (5-12, 1/3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), including three 3-pointers in seven attempts. Ahsante Shivers led with 18 points, Evan Fisher 16 and Prince Oduro 13.
Canisius (9-8, 3-1) saw a five-game win streak snapped.
Canisius forced 17 Siena turnovers while only committing three, but the Saints shot 45 percent from the floor (22 of 49), outrebounded the Golden Griffins 43-24 and converted 17 of 22 at the line.
Takal Molson led Canisius with 21 points, his third 20-point game of the season. Isaiah Reese added 12 with seven assists and Crumpton finished with 11 points, 0-for-5 from 3.
