FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Joseph Lopez had 15 points and tied a career high with 16 rebounds and Sacred Heart beat Lafayette 62-50 on Saturday.
Sean Hoehn and De'von Barnett added 15 points each for the Pioneers (5-5), who led the entire way.
The Leopards (1-8) got the deficit down to four in the middle of the second half but couldn't get closer.
Sacred Heart pulled away with a 7-0 run to lead 44-33 and extended to as many as 14 in the final minutes. The Pioneers held Lafayette to 19 first-half points as the Leopards made just 1 of 12 from 3-point range in the first half.
Matt Klinewski had 11 points and eight rebounds and Justin Jaworski scored 10 for Lafayette.
