Arsenal v Everton
Arsenal climb up to second after Stina Blackstenius' late winner against Everton
Stina Blackstenius scored a last-gasp winner as Arsenal beat Everton 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners were frustrated after hitting the crossbar three times in the game, twice through Beth Mead and once from Olivia Smith.
Stina Blackstenius had the final say to lift Arsenal into second with one more game left to play this season.
Arsenal forward Mead was named in the starting line-up as she bids her farewell to the club following Monday's announcement that she will leave when her contract expires at the end of the season.
She almost found the opener after Emily Fox played a pinpoint cross into the box, but her header bounced off the underside of the crossbar before being cleared.
Alessia Russo -- wearing the captain's armband for the home -- came close when she pounced on a misplaced pass and weaved into the area, blasting a shot at Courtney Brosnan and the ball nearly went through the goalkeeper's legs before being kicked away.
Clare Wheeler hit an ambitious effort from distance just over goal for the visitors and Mead rattled the bar again with a spectacular first-time strike.
Laia Codina had a goal ruled out for the hosts shortly after the restart for offside and Smith was then denied by the woodwork.
Brosnan made a solid save to hold Chloe Kelly's deflected cross, stopping Caitlin Foord from tapping in.
However, Blackstenius eventually struck in the third minute of additional time, latching on to Brosnan's clawed clearance and finding the bottom corner.
