Seattle Sounders race to three-goal lead in CCL quarterfinal vs. Leon
Two first-half goals by Fredy Montero powered the Seattle Sounders to a 3-0 victory over Leon in Tuesday's CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal first leg.
The teams will conclude the two-game series in Leon, Mexico, on March 17.

Montero opened the scoring with a 31st-minute penalty kick. He doubled the lead eight minutes later, capping an impressive team move down the right side with a short-range shot off a Cristian Roldan assist.
Jordan Morris expanded the margin in the 90th minute off a similar Roldan pass, this time from the left side.
The last two quarterfinals are set to begin Wednesday with CF Montreal facing Cruz Azul in Mexico City before Mexico's Pumas takes on the New England Revolution in Foxborough, Mass.
