Commentary
Allowed to drift inside from the right by a hesitant Villa defence, Mbeumo is able to line up a low shot towards the bottom-right corner. He doesn't quite catch it right, though, and the ball scuttles well wide.

Having conceded the penalty that swung this game back in Villa's favour, Dalot trudges off. Dorgu is his replacement at left-back.

Lacey's arrival is warmly welcomed by the fans, as Amad Diallo makes way.

In desperation, Carrick turns to his bench. First, goalscorer Tielemans departs, as Mount runs on.
Although he has made several saves, Suzuki drops another cross and almost pays the price. When reaching up for Cunha's high cross, he drops the ball onto Mbeumo's head, but no-one wearing red is able to react and capitalise.
With a clumsy challenge deep inside his own half, Goretzka needlessly upends Amad Diallo. This provides Bruno Fernandes with a set-piece opportunity, which he cleverly plays square. Though the ball initially beats Mainoo, Cunha follows in and sees a deflected shot fly wide.
