Dorsey, McCrary power Georgia State over Northern Illinois 35-14

ATLANTA -- — Rodshaun Dorsey caught five passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns, Lanear McCrary Jr. rushed for 111 yards and one touchdown, and Georgia State defeated Northern Illinois 35-14 on Saturday.

Cameran Brown was 14-for-21 passing for 148 yards, connecting with Dorsey for touchdowns of 18 and 50 yards.

Georgia State (3-1) struck first following a fumble on the opening kickoff that was recovered by Zach Stair at the Northern Illinois 4-yard line. Brown tossed a 4-yard touchdown pass to Avion McBride exactly one minute into the game.

After the Huskies tied the game at 14, Isaiah Stone ran back a kickoff 100 yards to give the Panthers the lead for good early in the second.

McCrary had a 1-yard rushing score halfway through the third and Dorsey's second touchdown made it 35-14 late in the third quarter.

Northern Illinois (0-4) outgained Georgia State 432-342, but a late fumble and turnover on downs derailed any comeback attempt for the Huskies.

Taron Dickens still threw for 320 yards and a score on 28-for-42 passing, and Dearee Rogers ran for 107 yards and a touchdown.
