Commentary
WOW. After a superb end-to-end game of football, nothing can separate the two side, as Bournemouth and Brentford draw 2-2 on the south coast. Both sides could've scored in the opening 10 minutes, but neither Thiago nor Silva could bury with their headed chances. It was the visitors who took the lead in the 34th minute, as Schade got onto the end of Yarmoliuk’s cross and beat Petrovic at his near post, one that the goalkeeper would've been disappointed not to stop. Four minutes later, Kluivert equalised for the Cherries, as he fired into the bottom corner from just inside the area. Tavernier completed the turnaround in the 52nd minute, finding the back of the net after being teed up perfectly by Evanilson. Once again however, the lead in the match only lasted four minutes, as a misplaced pass by Petrovic gave Schade the chance to loop over the Bournemouth keeper and make it 2-2. That was it for the goals, but Bournemoutht threw everything they had at Kelleher to no avail – even hitting the post in added-time! They ended the match with 2.18 xG from 20 shots, whilst Brentford accumulated 0.50 xG from their eight efforts. For both sides it is three draws in a row in the Premier League! Next up for Bournemouth is a return for former boss Andoni Iraola, as his Liverpool side travel to the south coast. For Brentford, they welcome London rivals Chelsea to the Gtech. That is all from me here. Thank you all for tuning in and have a fantastic evening.
FULL-TIME: BOURNEMOUTH 2-2 BRENTFORD
CHANCE FOR THIAGO! Sangare finds the run of Thiago, but the Brazilian fails to take control of the ball, allowing a Bournemouth man to clear.
OFF THE POST! THAT WAS NEARLY IT! Gannon-Doak blasts around Kayode, and opens onto his right to shoot at goal. The strike takes a huge deflection off a Brentford backtracker, before it loops over Kelleher and hits the post!
Brentford just having to sit in for a moment and try to stop the Bournemouth onslaught. Truffert just managed to break behind, but sees his strike saved by Kelleher. What a last few minutes we have!
Can either side steal all three points late on here? They are both attacking quickly, looking to take home a victory!
