Kostoulas broke the deadlock with a very well-taken goal in the 35th minute, while Yalcouye raced away to make it 2-0 six minutes into the second half. Coventry were then reduced to 10 men with Awoniyi shown a straight red card for an elbow on De Cuyper. Gross put the result beyond doubt from the penalty spot with 20 minutes left, slotting home after Thomas fouled Kostoulas. The Seagulls finished with a flourish, too. Dunk took aim from over 25 yards out and hit the jackpot, with his long-range stunner his first goal with his feet since 2023.
