Commentary
Liverpool compound Palace's misery with a 3-1 victory at Selhurst Park. The Reds' quality shone through, particularly in the second half, in a game where Palace were punished for their failure to take chances. Pino struck the crossbar for the Eagles in the 18th minute, before Alisson denied Kamada's volley 20 minutes later. Mac Allister then fired Liverpool ahead on 40 minutes when he met Szoboszlai's free-kick with a brilliant headed finish to round off the first half. Palace looked confident again after the break, but were unable to create anything of note, and they were duly punished when Barcola teed up Wirtz for Liverpool's second in the 54th minute. That goal looked to have knocked the wind out of the hosts, whose intensity dropped, and things went from bad to worse when Isak sealed the win with a well-taken finish in the 89th minute. Nketiah was able to pull one back with the last kick of the game from the penalty spot, but it's still a disappointing afternoon for the home side, who now sit rock bottom after 10 matches played. Liverpool now find themselves in fourth heading into the international break, as they return to winning ways in the capital. Palace recorded 2.38 xG across the 90, compared to the 2.65 put up by Liverpool, and the hosts must now regroup ahead of facing Coventry City in two weeks, though it remains to be seen whether Sage will still be in charge. Meanwhile, Liverpool can look forward to a tasty home meeting with Manchester United on November 22. That's all for this one, thanks for joining us!
FULL-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 1-3 LIVERPOOL

NKETIAH SCORES!! Liverpool's clean sheet is snatched away in the dying moments as Nketiah fires the ball past Alisson and into the top right-hand corner. It'll have no impact on the outcome, but at least the Palace fans have something to cling to on another difficult afternoon. Crystal Palace 1-3 Liverpool!
PALACE HAVE A PENALTY!! The hosts are handed the chance to score a consolation as Kerkez is adjudged to have gone in late on Osorio. That's a little harsh...
Liverpool rode their luck at times in the first half, but their quality has shone through in the second, particularly through their big-money signings in Wirtz, Barcola and Isak. All three have played a part in the Reds' goals since the break.
There will be four minutes of stoppage time. Not long until Palace are put out of their misery.
