London Welsh have been deducted 20 points by the Rugby Football Union after formally going into liquidation.

The Exiles have been given a temporary licence by the RFU to play their next two matches with London Scottish up next on Dec. 24. The points deduction sees them move to the foot of the Greene King IPA Championship.

London Welsh announced their decision to pursue voluntary liquidation on Dec. 7 and are now trading as a new company.

They have lost a number of players since the original announcement but have 19 still on their books and have loaned and dual-registered others to build their team for Saturday's match at Old Deer Park.
