Chelsea are in advanced talks with Swansea over a deal for striker Fernando Llorente, sources close to the Welsh club have told ESPN FC.
ESPN FC reported earlier this week that Everton had made a late move for Llorente as they look to bring a new striker to Goodison Park, but Chelsea have always been favourites for the Spain international.
Chelsea have held a long-term interest in Llorente and tried to sign him last January only for Swansea to keep hold of him as they battled to stay up.
Llorente scored 15 goals last season for Swansea after joining the club from Sevilla last summer.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is a big fan of Llorente having worked with him at former club Juventus and he is keen to be reunited with him at Stamford Bridge.
Sources have told ESPN FC that Llorente is keen on a move to Chelsea to work again with Conte and is hopeful a deal can be struck between the two clubs.
Swansea are ready to sanction Llorente sale, but only once they bring in a replacement with Manchester City's Wilfried Bony their top target.
