Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka has said reports in the German media that he has already agreed to join Bayern Munich either this summer or on a free transfer in 12 months are wrong.
Goretzka, 22, has been one of the few players to play a solid season at Schalke, who missed out on qualifying for European competition following seven consecutive campaigns in the Europa League or Champions League.
The Germany midfielder is under contract at Schalke until 2018 but has yet to agree an extension, meaning this summer could be the last chance for the Royal Blues to cash in before he is eligible to leave for nothing.
But amid links with Bayern Munich, Schalke earlier this week ruled out selling the player, saying they "can't imagine a scenario" in which they would agree to a summer move.
However, Sport Bild claimed on Wednesday Goretzka has already agreed to join Bayern, even though this could mean playing one more season at the Veltins Arena before moving to the Allianz Arena.
Later that day, Goretzka rejected the report and said on Facebook: "There are rumours, conjectures, speculations. I can only tell you that everything that has been published is wrong. I will deliver the facts once decisions actually have been made."
