Minnesota Vikings' Adam Thielen shows off Arsenal shirt, Henry slide

Once again, the NFL descended on London over the weekend as the Minnesota Vikings squared off against the Cleveland Browns in front of a packed house at Twickenham. And once again, both forms of "football" fused.

Minnesota's Adam Thielen got into the spirit of things by showing up for the game wearing a personalised Arsenal shirt.

Thielen later revealed he purchased his jersey while watching the Gunners' 2-1 win over Swansea at the Emirates the previous day.

Thielen even performed an homage to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry after scoring a touchdown against the Browns, with the Minnesota wide receiver pulling off a trademark knee-slide celebration.

Speaking to the press after the game (while still wearing his Arsenal shirt), Thielen revealed that he has recently taken a keen interest in soccer through playing the FIFA games online.

"I always played FIFA and stuff like that growing up and seeing those guys celebrate, I kind of got inspiration [for the slide] from that." he said.

Thielen wasn't the only NFL star taking pointers from the EA Sports franchise, either, with Browns quarterback DeShone Kizer also celebrating a touchdown with a bit of soccer-themed choreography.

"I played a little FIFA in my day and that was a FIFA celebration," Kizer said after the game. "I was able to pull out a pretty good slide against the Vikings so it was being able to prove I can play FIFA just as well as [Thielen] can."

Several well-known soccer stars looking on would certainly have been impressed.

Bournemouth keeper Asmir Begovic seemed thoroughly thrilled to be watching his second NFL games in as many weeks.

And Jack Butland of Stoke was also there to soak in the pulsating atmosphere.

For the record, the Vikings powered their way to a 33-16 victory over the Browns, meaning the latter remain winless so far this season.

Though we'd have awarded both teams some extra points for the celebrations.
