Transfer Rater: Daniel Sturridge to Valencia, Gianluigi Donnarumma to PSG

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Daniel Sturridge to Valencia - 2.3

Struggling for minutes behind the "Fab Four" reports suggest Sturridge would be willing to move abroad in January to help find more minutes on the pitch. Real Betis will challenge Valencia for the England striker. Jurgen Klopp recently admitted the 28-year-old is in the best shape since he's been in charge. A natural finisher, Liverpool would much prefer a loan deal than to sell in the winter.

Gianluigi Donnarumma to Paris Saint-Germain - 2.2

They may be able to spend £198 million to sign Neymar and improve their attack, but the goalkeeping position remains a problem at PSG. The Italian press are now linking the Parisian giants with a move for Milan's teenage shot-stopper. Agent Mino Raiola is unconvinced with the Serie A club's project and a big-money move to Paris could finally give PSG the superstar between in goal that they have been chasing.

Marvin Compper to Celtic - 2.2

Brendan Rodgers has pushed the Leipzig defender to the top of his wanted list after Compper has struggled to find game time in the Bundesliga. The form of Dayot Upamecano has limited the German's minutes and, available for around £1m, the 32-year-old is exactly the type of experienced centre-back the Glasgow club need. The one downside is he would be cup-tied for the Europa League after Leipzig also dropped into the competition.

Michy Batshuayi to Newcastle United - 2.1

Ever since making the £32m move from Marseille to Chelsea, Batshuayi has had to scrape for his opportunities. A Newcastle United target, a loan move to St James' would be the ideal place to become a regular starter and show week in, week out, he can become a top Premier League striker. His pace and energy is exactly what the North East club have been missing in attack.

Diego Lopez to Crystal Palace - 2.0

After helping Real Madrid lift the 2014 European Cup, the 36-year-old could be asked by Roy Hodgson to help his Palace side avoid relegation from the Premier League. Lopez only joined Espanyol from AC Milan on a free transfer in July but Hodgson is not convinced by the two options he has and reports in England suggest the keeper is the type of experienced head the former England boss wants as his No.1.
