Romain Grosjean will take a five-place grid drop from wherever he qualifies after Haas was forced to change his gearbox following final practice at the Italian Grand Prix.

Haas looks quick this weekend after benefiting form a Ferrari engine upgrade and a Monza-specific rear wing, but a spin on Saturday morning saw Grosjean end the final practice session before qualifying in the gravel at Ascari. A notification from the FIA following the session confirmed Haas had changed the gearbox on the car ahead of qualifying, resulting in a five-place grid drop.

The team's hopes for a top-ten grid position now rest on Esteban Gutierrez, who finished final practice in tenth place, splitting the two Force Indias.
