Fernando Alonso rides a Moto GP bike at Honda Racing Thanks Day

Fernando Alonso rode a Honda Moto GP bike as part of a celebration of the Japanese company's motorsport involvement.

Alonso attended Honda Racing Thanks Day in Motegi at the weekend on behalf of McLaren-Honda and was given the opportunity to drive and ride a number of Honda's racing machines, including the Honda RC213V Moto GP bike. After the demonstration run he swapped helmets with the bike's usual rider Marc Marquez.

Alonso also took to the track in a 1991 McLaren MP4-6, the car which Ayrton Senna won his third title in, while ex-Honda F1 driver Takuma Sato drove a 1968 Honda RA301 F1 car.
