The Circuit de Catalunya has extended its deal to host the Spanish Grand Prix until 2019.
The Barcelona circuit has hosted every Spanish Grand Prix since 1991, when it took over from Jerez, with this year its 25th season in the sport. Its current deal runs to 2016 but that has been extended by three years.
Spokesperson Vicenc Aguilera said: "We are extremely proud to announce this renewal in such a special year, marking the 25th anniversary of Formula One Grands Prix being hosted uninterruptedly at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. We thus extend this fruitful relationship with Formula One and we look forward to the next 25 years".
The news comes with question marks hanging over the future of other traditional European races in Germany and Italy.
