Boston Uprising release Mouffin following allegations of sexual misconduct

The Boston Uprising announced Saturday via Twitter that they have released off-tank player Walid "Mouffin" Bassal. Mouffin's release comes a week after the Uprising announced on Twitter that they had benched him after allegations of sexual misconduct against him surfaced.

The Overwatch League is conducting an investigation into the matter, according to a source within the league.

On March 27, KhaleesiBB posted on TwitLonger about her experiences with Mouffin. Khaleesi wrote that she rejected his advances and was also aware that he was seeking out other women via social media, including some who were underage.

On Saturday, KhaleesiBB replied to the Uprising's tweet announcing Mouffin's contract had been terminated with a tweet of her own.

"thank you for doing the right thing by me and so many other girls and women, we appreciate that," she wrote.

The Uprising's next match is scheduled for April 11 against the Houston Outlaws.
