END OF OVER:

  • Shardul Thakur0 (0b)
  • Umesh Yadav4-0-47-2
  • Navdeep Saini4-0-24-1

That's all from our side. See you soon.

P.S.Ashok: "Ashwin effect - Final ball, had Thakur taken off a bit early, CSK Vs RCB tonight would have gone to the super over."

Parthiv Patel, the Man of the Match: I think it was great the way we started. The ball was sticking on to the wicket but we soon realised it wasn't a 200-run wicket. I have been batting well, was talking to coaches. I chose my bowlers and took singles off the others. Last ball, I knew there was only chance if they get beaten. We were trying to let Umesh bowl outside off, and I had my gloves off and luckily it came off well.

Virat Kohli, the RCB captain: A whole lot of emotions. We thought we were outstanding with the ball till the 19th over mark. To be very honest, that was the last thing I would have expected. But anything can happen in the game of cricket. MS did what he does well and gave us a scare. The ball wasn't coming on to the bat but the way PP and AB started, and then we lost AB and then a couple of wickets more, and we thought we were 15 short. Well looking at this game in hindsight, you can say Moeen should have batted higher. Having one game left for him in the season, he might come up and enjoy himself. Saini understands his strengths and limitations and was outstanding. [On the last ball] If you don't have confidence, nothing works. It was outstanding from Parthiv to think it could come down to a run-out as well.

Time for presentation.

MS Dhoni: "We did really well to restrict RCB below par. I think it was more of a calculation mistake that we lost wickets early on. T20 is all about taking risks, but you can still calculate. I think it was still difficult at death if you bowl that back of the length. It was slightly spongy, it wasn't coming on to the bat. A lot of boundaries were needed, right now you can calculate, one run there, and two runs there and we just lost by one run. But you can also say we missed some boundaries."

Santosh battula: "This match was like anti climax of Nidahas trophy final.. Lucky that I was on the correct end both the times. "

Yuzvendra Chahal: The idea was to bowl stump to stump. The last ball how Umesh backed himself, and Parthiv ran out, he kept his calm and that's why we won the match. I am really enjoying my bowling, mixing my pace.

11:50 pm What a game we have had here. Dhoni almost pulled off a Houdini-like escape but missed out on the last ball when all the pressure was on the bowling side. Should have he taken those singles with Bravo? But that's not how MSD bats.

Yadav to Dhoni, OUT, Dhoni looks to steer it behind point and misses but they go for the bye. Shardul sprints towards the other end, Parthiv Patel hits the stumps direct, Shardul dives but cannot make it. Coming to the ball, it was a length ball outside off, looked like an offcutter, and bounced once more before reaching Parthiv, who was waiting for it with his right glove off
