Wales are sweating on the fitness of Jonathan Davies who looks set to miss their first three matches of the Six Nations.

Davies suffered a pectoral injury against South Africa in November and the Scarlets have said he is progressing well in his recovery and is back in light training but is not likely to return to full action until early March.

Wales kick-off their defence of the Six Nations against Italy on February 1 and then tackle Ireland a week later with France travelling to Cardiff on February 21. For Davies, it looks likely he will be fit for their last two games against England on March 9 and then the final match versus Scotland on March 15.

With both Davies and Jamie Roberts missing much of the autumn Tests, Ashley Beck and Scott Williams filled in with Cory Allen also making his international debut.
