The UFC 135 card has been further swelled by an intriguing lightweight encounter between Takanori Gomi and Nate Diaz.

UFC 135 is headlined by the first defence of Jon Jones' light-heavyweight crown against Rampage Jackson. Also on the card are bouts featuring Matt Hughes v Diego Sanchez, Norifumi Yamamoto v Damacio Page, Ben Rothwell v Mark Hunt, and Travis Browne v Rob Broughton.

Gomi is yet to truly show his true colours since joining the UFC, going 1-2 in bouts against Tyson Griffin, Kenny Florian and Clay Guida. His sole victory came against Griffin, but his career record still stands at an impressive 32 wins from 40 fights.

Diaz drops back to the 155lbs after being tossed around like a rag doll by Rory MacDonald at welterweight. The 26-year-old's 8-5 record is hardly domineering, but he has picked up six bonus cheques during his time in the Octagon.
