Tyson Fury has responded to the UFC's invitation for him to fight Cain Velasquez by telling them to put their money where their mouth is.

Fury has been openly critical of Velasquez, repeatedly taunting the UFC heavyweight champion.

UFC president Dana White said on Wednesday that Fury would "get smashed" by Velasquez and the organisation went a step further later in the week by issuing an official challenge to Fury.

Fury has his sights trained on a shot at heavyweight boxing champions Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, but he has responded to the UFC's gesture by telling them to come up with a deal.

Posting on his Twitter feed, Fury wrote: "@danawhite if you want @cainmma to get smashed put your money where your mouth is. Pair of pussies! I'll KO this bum. MAN VS MIDGET."
