UFC superstar Jon Jones wants to compete in superfights and has targeted the heavyweight division.

The light-heavyweight champion faces Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 on Saturday, and is out to tie the record of Tito Ortiz's five successful defences before taking to the Octagon once again towards the end of the year.

"One thing I've been contemplating is first tying Tito, and then establishing that record of the most wins in my next fight in November," Jones told MMAjunkie.com. "And then after that fight in November, entertaining superfights and heavyweight fights."

Jones has defended his belt four times, but would not reveal who he is looking to take on for a superfight.

Middleweight champion Anderson Silva and heavyweight king Cain Velasquez have been linked as possible opponents.
