Lavar Johnson has failed a drugs test and is set to face disciplinary action after elevated testosterone levels were found in his post-fight sample at UFC 157.

Johnson suffered a unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Brendan Schaub on February 23, resulting in a second consecutive loss for the 35-year-old American.

MMAJunkie.com first broke the story, reporting: "A post-fight drug test for UFC heavyweight Lavar Johnson, who lost a unanimous decision to Brendan Schaub at UFC 157, has been flagged for elevated levels of testosterone.

"An additional carbon isotope ratio test 'confirmed the testosterone was consistent with the administration of a steroid'," according to executive director of the California State Athletic Commission Andy Forster.

Samples from the other fighters from UFC 157, including Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche, came back clean.
