Johny Hendricks claims he is still on course for a shot at Georges St-Pierre after revealing he did not break his hand at the weekend.

Hendricks beat Carlos Condit at UFC 158, but feared the win came at a cost of a broken hand. He spoke positively after the fight about getting a shot at welterweight champion St-Pierre, but those plans would have been thrown in the air by any injury.

However, Hendricks has now revealed that the injury has settled down and he has called off a scheduled trip to the doctor.

"The swelling had gone down a lot yesterday when he woke up," a statement from Hendricks read. "Today it looks and feels even better so he didn't feel it was necessary to go to the doctor. It's feeling much better."

There has been no word as to when Hendricks will face St-Pierre, but it is likely to take place later this year.
