England's John Hathaway has been given a huge test at the TUF 2 Finale in June, taking on welterweight sensation Erick Silva is his own backyard.

TUF Brazil 2 takes place in Fortaleza, Brazil on June 8, and will be headlined by the coaches Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum.

Hathaway has not fought since he beat countryman John Maguire last year. The Brit's biggest performance of his career saw him beat Diego Sanchez back in May 2010 and he may just need to top that to defeat Silva.

The Brazilian is widely regarded to be champion material, boasting explosive striking skills and a slick ground game.

However, his last outing saw him beaten by the grinding style of Jon Fitch in a Fight of the Night encounter, and that will surely act as Hathaway's blueprint for potential victory.

A win for either man would lift them towards the top contenders in the welterweight division, and the bout is likely to feature on the main card in June.
