Gray Maynard's UFC return will come against TJ Grant at UFC 160, it was confirmed overnight on Wednesday.

Maynard has not fought since he won a split decision over Clay Guida, after which he required knee surgery. The lightweight had multiple fitness concerns to address but is on the comeback trail.

Prior to that injury, Maynard had twice fought Frankie Edgar for the lightweight title, earning a draw in their first championship bout before losing the second. On both occasions Maynard had Edgar in big trouble before letting him off.

His comeback opponent is the tough TJ Grant, who has gone 4-0 as a UFC lightweight. He is coming off a stoppage of Matt Wiman and looks a force at 155lbs.

Also at UFC 160, Khabib Nurmagomedov will meet Abel Trujillo. Nurmagomedov caught the eye in his last outing when he ran through Thiago Tavares.

The May 25 card is headlined by the heavyweight title encounter involving Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. Also on the card, Junior Dos Santos takes on Alistair Overeem.
