The UFC announced two more bouts on Tuesday, with Chad Mendes handed a new opponent in the shape of Clay Guida.

Mendes had been set to fight Manny Gamburyan at UFC 157, but injury ruled Gamburyan out of the contest. As a result, Mendes has been switched to the UFC on Fox: Henderson v Melendez card.

His rival will be Guida, who is coming off a split decision win over Hatsu Hioki. Guida is looking to make a run at the featherweight title.

"There's not a huge line of people that want to fight Chad, especially on two weeks' [notice]," UFC president Dana White said.

"But Chad is the best - if not, the second best - guy in that weight division, period. Chad's not going to turn anybody down. He believes he can beat anybody."

Also announced is a 145lb bout between Diego Brandao and Pablo Garza. The pair will fight at UFC Sweden, which is headlined by Alexander Gustafsson v Gegard Mousasi.
