ESPN will air the 17th series of the UFC's long-running reality show: The Ultimate Fighter, starting Tuesday January 22.

The highly anticipated series will be headed up by UFC champion Jon Bones Jones and Chael Sonnen, who will lead two teams of seven middleweights in the hope of winning a coveted contract with the UFC.

The two hour premier will see 28 mixed martial artists battle it out for one of the fourteen spots on the show.

UK fans can watch the entire series on ESPN, the first episode airing at 1am on Tuesday January 22, and continuing every Tuesday night (typically 2am, though times may vary - check listings), with repeats shown on Wednesday evenings at 10pm (with exception of the first episode, which will be repeated Thursday January 24 at midnight).

The show will run for 13 weeks and conclude with a three-hour Finale live from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The coaches will then collide for the light-heavyweight title on Saturday April 27 at UFC 159: Jones v Sonnen.
