Clay Guida has stepped down to featherweight to face Hatsu Hioki, after he was added to the UFC on FOX 6 card to in Chicago.

Guida will make his debut at 145lbs in front of his home fans on January 26 against the Japanese fighter, who is 25-5-2 in MMA.

"I've never had a problem making 155[lbs]," Guida said in the Chicago Sun-Times. "I wrestled at 149 in college, so all I'll have to do is clean up a few things in my diet. I believe I present a tougher challenge for him than he does for me."

Guida will be looking to put recent defeats to Ben Henderson and Gray Maynard behind him, while Hioki is 2-1 in the UFC after his defeat to Ricardo Lamas in June.
