Condit the spoiler will ruin GSP v Silva talk

Carlos Condit has often been the road block in the welterweight division, and he plans his greatest trick yet when he fights Georges St-Pierre at UFC 154 in November.

Condit takes on the 170lb champion, knowing victory for GSP could lead to a super-fight with Anderson Silva. It is the fight MMA fans have wanted for years, and Silva in particular appears as ready as he ever has to accept the bout.

However, Condit is one of the sport's great spoilers. He silenced Dan Hardy in front of his home crowd, and more recently he beat Nick Diaz to stop the Stockton fighter setting up his own box-office bash with St-Pierre.

According to Condit's manager, the former WEC champ is never more dangerous than when he is overlooked, and when he fights St-Pierre in November he will aim to score his career-defining victory.

"Put it to you like this, I'm happy. I'm very glad this is what's going on. I'm very glad this is what's going down," Malki Kawa told MMAWeekly in relation to the GSP v Silva talk.

"I don't think Carlos has been a favourite in any one of his past three fights. I think in every one of his fights, either the fighter he's fighting or the media or whoever said something about another fight or they're going to set this fight up, and look at how it's worked out for him.

"He doesn't care about none of this stuff, he just sits there and says, 'Hey, I spoiled their plans once with Nick [Diaz]. I'll spoil it again with Georges, so who cares?'"
