Jon Jones says he would like to move into the heavyweight division "in the next two or three years".

Jones faces Dan Henderson in his fourth title defence bout in 11 days' time. Given his dominance in the 205-pound division, speculation is rife the American is making long-term plans to step up to heavyweight.

During a recent interview, Jones confirmed he has a desire to step up to the next weight division, but insists he is concentrating on his next battle in the octagon.

"I've put thought into it and, like I said, not to be cliche, but Dan Henderson is my main priority and focus, but I have a lot of years left in fighting.

"Coming up to heavyweight is something I'd like to do maybe in the next two or three years. 2013 or 2014; it would be cool," Jones told Fuel TV.
