Michael Bisping will likely not be fighting on the UFC Nottingham card, according to UFC managing director of international business, Marshall Zelaznik.

The UFC announced the September 29 card on Monday, revealing Brad Pickett and Andy Ogle would appear in Nottingham against Yves Jabouin and Akira Corassani respectively.

A main event for the show will be announced in the next few days, and question marks surrounded the possibility of Bisping returning from injury to headline the card.

Bisping spoke on Monday about the prospect of fighting in Nottingham, telling The MMA Hour: "I am a proud Brit. I will always be proud of my country. Some of the fights I've had in England have been the highest moments of my career. I love fighting in England and of course I would love to fight on the Nottingham card."

However, Zelaznik believes the UFC is currently planning to look elsewhere for its main event in Nottingham, although nothing is official as of yet.

"It's not likely Bisping will appear on the card," Zelaznik told ESPN. "Stranger things have happened, but it's not a name that's floating around at the moment."
