UFC 152 is shaping up to be one of the most memorable cards of the year after president Dana White confirmed he plans to headline the Toronto show with a heavyweight title bout.

Expected to take place on September 22, the Toronto event was already tipped to boast a welterweight battle between young sensation Rory MacDonald and the returning two-weight champion BJ Penn.

The emergence from retirement of 'The Prodigy' is strong enough to headline a UFC card, particularly against a fighter like MacDonald, widely expected to be a future champion at 170lbs.

However, White revealed he plans to headline the event with Junior Dos Santos' next title defence against Cain Velasquez. The pair have already fought once, with Dos Santos the winner by knockout, but the rematch is highly anticipated.

White did, however, reveal that Brock Lesnar is unlikely to make a UFC return after recent talks went badly.
